PEOPLEVISIONFX "PHOTONOPTICON" FOR RC WILLEY LAS VEGAS

Summerlin, NV: PeopleVisionFX has produced a PhotonOpticon presentation for a Las Vegas location of the RC Willey chain of furniture stores. The PhotonOpticon is a hologram-type effect based on a new technology from PeopleVision. When a store visitor comes near the display, a life-size woman appears on a transparent screen and provides a short presentation on one of three topics. The display is located within RC Willey's new Great Room Gallery. One of the presentations discusses electronics, another talks about furniture, and the third explains the Great Room concept itself. Unlike an ordinary hologram, the PhotonOpticon figure is able to move and speak. She appears on a transparent screen and is, herself, translucent. The RC Willey Great Room Gallery features Sony electronics and LaZboy furniture and these manufacturers' products are included in the character's presentations. When each presentation is finished, the figure disappears and the screen returns to transparency. According to PeopleVisionFX president, Wayne Sullivant, RC Willey is an appropriate location for the debut of the PhotonOpticon because innovation has been one of the hallmarks of RC Willey throughout the company's history. "We're proud to be associated with RC Willey's commitment to quality, customer service and inventive thinking," notes Sullivant.

RC Willey began in 1932 with the original R. C. Willey selling Hotpoint appliances door to door in rural Utah farming communities. RC Willey has now grown to become the largest furniture retailer west of the Mississippi river.
